Help Make the Season Happen
From helping your player’s team to supporting the club behind the scenes, volunteers make Issaquah lacrosse possible.
When a family arrives at practice or a home game, much of the preparation has already happened. Equipment has been organized, field time has been arranged, and someone has helped keep the team informed. That work is part of the season too.
Issaquah Lacrosse Club’s volunteer opportunities include support for individual teams and roles serving the whole club. The right starting point is a conversation about your interests, availability and the club’s current needs.
Help your team stay connected
Team managers help communication move between coaches, program directors and families. They keep people aligned on schedules and upcoming events, and help identify volunteers for home-game duties.
If you enjoy organizing information and helping families find what they need, team support may be a good place to begin. Ask what the role involves for your player’s team and which responsibilities are already covered.
Support equipment and fields
Equipment and uniform support includes inventory, preseason preparation and help with needs that arise during the season. Field scheduling involves working with program directors and facility providers to arrange practices and games and communicate changes.
These roles serve more than one team. They may suit someone who prefers planning and practical coordination to a role centered on a single game day.
Bring the club together
Social activities and fundraising also have a place in club life. The club’s published volunteer descriptions include coordinating social events and leading the planning of its Tailgate FUNdraising event.
An interest in events, communications or organizing a group can be a starting point for that conversation. Ask about current plans and the kind of help needed before assuming a particular event or role is open.
Start with a conversation
You do not need to choose a title before getting in touch. Tell the club what interests you and what availability you have. If you already have a role in mind, include that along with your player’s team, if relevant.
