About the Club

Issaquah Lacrosse Club brings together players and families through boys lacrosse, from kindergarten through high school.

Our mission

More than the game

Issaquah Lacrosse Club empowers student-athletes through competitive lacrosse, strong mentorship, and a culture rooted in respect, accountability, and teamwork. We strive to build confident leaders—on the field and in life—by emphasizing personal growth, academic balance, and service to our community. Our program welcomes players of all backgrounds and skill levels, united by a shared commitment to excellence, sportsmanship, and love of the game.

What we value

Player-first development

Practice, competition and mentorship help players build skills and confidence. Personal growth and academic balance matter alongside progress on the field.

Play with effort and integrity. Respect teammates, coaches, opponents and officials, take responsibility, and put the team first.

Players of different backgrounds and experience levels contribute to the team. Families and volunteers help make lacrosse a place to connect and grow together.

Our story

From a high-school program to a unified youth and high-school club, ILC has grown through more than two decades of lacrosse in Issaquah.

  1. High-school roots

    Issaquah Lacrosse Club was founded as a high-school program.

  2. The first league season

    The club began league play with 27 players, led by Brandon Fortier and Jordan Bayly.

  3. Youth lacrosse begins

    Scott Wiley and Matthew Balkman founded Issaquah Youth Lacrosse with four boys teams: two for grades 5/6 and two for grades 7/8.

  4. Growth across the district

    The youth program had grown to 30 teams serving the Issaquah School District, including boys and girls teams at the 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 grade levels.

  5. One club, together

    The high-school and youth programs united under one organization: Issaquah Lacrosse Club.
