Last month, we shared the exciting news that we appointed Nolan Harris and Ian O’Hern as the new Varsity Co-Head Coaches for Issaquah Lacrosse Club. Coach Nolan will also be serving as the High School Program Director, and Coach Ian will be serving as the Youth Program Director. In these roles, they will focus on developing the entire club, including coaches and student athletes from kindergarten through high school. You can find the full announcement here.

Nolan Harris

Varsity Co-Head Coach, High School Program Director

• Coaching Philosophy: My coaching philosophy focuses on player accountability on the field, in the classroom, and in life. While all athletes and students are at different levels, they all are capable of taking accountability for their actions and their responsibilities.
• # of years coaching: 10
• # of years playing: 13 (youth, HS, and College)
• Day Job: 7th and 8th Grade ELA Teacher
• Offensive Philosophy: Coordination, Control, and Chaos
• Favorite Lacrosse Memory: Playing in a men’s fundraiser tournament in Canada with some college teammates and alumni
• Non-lacrosse hobbies: 2-step dancing with my wife, riding dirt bikes, and the occasional video game

Ian O’Hern

Varsity Co-Head Coach, Youth Program Director

• Coaching Philosophy: My coaching philosophy centers around building good people, good students, good athletes, and good lacrosse players. I believe that success on the field starts with character off the field. My goal is to help develop well-rounded individuals who thrive in all areas of life.

• Day Job: Building boats at Fluid Motion
• Defensive Philosophy: Controlled Creativity
• Favorite Lacrosse Memory: Growing up playing lacrosse in the backyard with my dad.
